Barcelona are reportedly interested in securing the services of PSG star Presnel Kimpembe in a surprise transfer swoop ahead of January.

According to Fichajes.net, the Blaugrana are interested in the Frenchman, especially because he would be available for free transfer.

Presnel Kimpembe PSG’s future is in doubt even as the club is yet to extend his contract, which expires at the end of the season.

It is a big surprise PSG has failed to reach an agreement with the 28-year-old centre-back, who has been a key figure at the club.

AC Milan, Inter and Juventus in the race

Apart from Barcelona, three other teams in the Italian Serie A (AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Juventus) also monitor the situation around the player.

Xavi Hernandez’s top choice

Interestingly, Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez, searching for a reinforcement in his team, has chosen the PSG defender as his top choice amid interest from top teams in Europe.

Currently, there is no concrete offer or approach from the Spanish Club, but the report suggests the club is interested in securing his services.
