Atletico Madrid are monitoring Argentine youngster Federico Redondo as they continue their search for a new midfielder, according to Fichajes.net.
The Rojiblancos want to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming transfer window in January and have noticed the young midfielder as an Ideal option.
Federico Redondo, 20, currently plays for Argentinos Juniors in the country’s top flight and has been one of the best players in the team. He joined the club as a youth player and was eventually promoted to the first team in 2022.
According to statistics, the 20-year-old has played more than 50 games for Argentinos Juniors. This season in the Argentine top flight, he scored one and provided two assists.
Atletico Madrid are considering going all out for his services as he fits into the club’s style of play and can offer short and long-term solutions in the midfield.
Federico Redondo has a contract with Argentinos Junior until December 2024 and is worth around 10 million euros.
Meanwhile, Barcelona have been tipped to consider a move for the midfielder following his performance for his club. However, there’s been no concrete news regarding the story.
