Atletico Madrid wants to rewrite the wrongs after their dismal performance that saw them exit the Champions League despite being designated the favourite to qualify from their group. The Rojiblancos have identified Nico Williams as a priority ahead of the January transfer window.

At the Wanda Metropolitano stadium, the main objective is to bring reinforcement in January. According to Fichajes via Gol Digital, Williams would be one of the players the club wants to sign.

The Spanish international, whose contract with Athletic Club ends in 2024, has recently made it to the spotlight following his outstanding performance at San Mamés.
