The Saudi Pro League is one of the biggest destinations for European football stars lately. This summer alone, there have been several confirmed transfers, including Sadio Mane, Fabinho, Bobby Firmino, etc.

The latest report from Fichajes.net reveals Atletico Madrid striker Angel Correa has rejected the Idea of moving to the Saudi Pro League.  The he Argentine striker has no intentions of moving to the Middle East and would prefer to remain in European football.

Although the interest from Saudi clubs has grown, the 28-year-old is not considering a move out of the Spanish La Liga.

Correa, however, is focused on the project led by Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid and wants to compete in the 2023/24 season with the club.

The early stages of last season were difficult for the Rojiblancos as they were eliminated from the UCL group stages and struggled to compete in the domestic league.

The 2023/24 is entirely a new project; after Diego Simeone received significant backing from the club’s top hierarchy, Correa decided to remain at the club and see out his contract.

Although a future move away from Atletico Madrid has not been ruled out, the plan for the Argentine is to remain at the club beyond this season. Statistics show Angel Correa has made 375 appearances for Atletico Madrid, scoring 67 and providing 57 assists.
