As Dani Ceballos continues to accumulate a long list of suitors who aim at an exit from Real Madrid, two Premier League clubs, Aston Villa and Newcastle United, have also joined the list.
The two English clubs, according to Defensa Central (h/t Fichajes), could go all out for the Spaniard as an alternative to reinforce their squad next season.
It has not been a smooth stroll for Dani Ceballos throughout his career at Real Madrid amid tough competition in the midfield, which had proved difficult to earn a starting shirt in the first team.
However, his desire for continuity elsewhere gradually takes an interesting twist with the entrance of Villa and Eddie Howe’s side.
Dani Ceballos, on his part, is not new to English football, having played for London club Arsenal, where fans applauded his performance towards the end of his loan spell.
That said, the desire to play a greater role could result in a move to the English Premier League next summer.
Aston Villa and Newcastle United in head-to-head for Ceballos
Aston Villa have shown interest in La Liga players lately, especially as Unai took over the helm of affairs at the club.
Yesterday, the Villans were linked to Alex Baena, who could depart Villarreal amid financial struggles at the club.
Newcastle United, on the other hand, are also looking for a re-enforcement. The Magpies have relied heavily on the brilliance of Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.
However, there’s a need for alternatives to bolster the squad for next year.
