AS: Cristiano Ronaldo open to MLS move after the World Cup
Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo is open to leaving European football, according to AS, as relayed by Fichajes. The Portuguese forward is open to a move to the MLS after the World Cup Qatar ends.
The January transfer window would open a door for numerous players to seek more playing time, with Ronaldo among the best players would get a new club.
The Portuguese forward is having a tough time at Old Trafford. He’s been made to sit on the bench, including some high-profile games, which has increased his frustration at the club.
Although Ronaldo’s intention remains to play Champions League football, there has been no major European club winning to pay his high wages.
The report from AS suggests Manchester United could be willing to let Ronaldo leave the club as a free agent in January. His agent Jorge Mendes has been searching for a club, but so far, he’s not been able to find one for the Portuguese striker.
