Arsenal are preparing to launch an official bid for Manuel Locatelli
The current situation of Manuel Locatelli at Juventus appears to have attracted interest from Arsenal. The Premier League club is preparing an official bid for the Argentine footballer, according to Calcio Mercato (h/t Fichajes).
This comes as the Gunners continue to push forward in their bid to build a formidable squad that could match the likes of Manchester City, who are mounting pressure on the Gunners at the top of the Premier League table after eight games.
Manuel Locatelli has failed to command a starting role at the club and intends to leave the club for a place where he would be guaranteed regular first-team football.
The report from Calcio Mercato indicates Juventus had already opened the exit doors for the Italian midfielder only for a reasonable amount. The Gunners would likely move to secure the services of the Italian if Mikel Arteta decides to have him in his team.
A deal could happen between the two sides as Arsenal continues to monitor the situation around Locatelli and waits for the nod from Mikel Arteta. He had stated his intentions of having a midfielder for the long term.
As per Juvefc, Juventus are not willing to sell the Italian midfielder at the moment.
