Arsenal has joined the race for Villarreal centre back Pau Torres amid Real Madrid and Manchester United links in recent weeks, as part of plans by Mikel Arteta to improve the team.
But this may not come as easy as many might think of. Villarreal on the other hand has a project currently working in progress. This was the main reason for hiring Unai Emery who left Arsenal.
The Yellow Submarines are aware of plans by clubs to sign the 23-year old, but they may not be open to selling him to any club at the moment.
According to fichajes.com, Real Madrid wants to bring Pau Torres to partner Sergio Ramos in the defence at least for now, before a replacement will be brought for Ramos in the nearest future.
For Arsenal, there are calls for improvement in all corners of the first team. The head coach currently fancies a player like Torres who can bring stability to the defence in no distant time.
