Arsenal following 19-year-old Championship midfielder despite Declan Rice’s pursuit
Arsenal wants to have the best legs for next season, and as such, the charge for quality arrivals seems to be on high speed.
The Gunners are taking steps to bring more reinforcements, especially in the midfield as they pursue West Ham star Declan Rice. Now they’ve also set sights on Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia who is expected to leave the club in the summer following their relegation to the EFL Championship.
At the Emirates stadium, the biggest desire is Declan Rice. However, West Ham won’t give up on the player unless the Gunners are willing to meet their demands.
However, Romeo Lavia may not cost the club and could be the second midfield signing after Declan Rice. According to Fichajes.com, the 19-year-old Belgian international is a player they admire.
Last season, he was one the best players at the club despite the team’s poor outing. He recorded a goal and an assist in 34 appearances for the Saints. But the club’s relegation cast doubts on his continuity with the club.
A midfield gem at a lower price
Southampton’s relegation meant some of its best players could leave at a lower price. Lavia, worth 25 million euros according to Transfermarkt, could leave the club at a lower price.
Arsenal, on the other hand, wants to take advantage of this situation.
