Rodrigo de Paul is one of the players at Atletico Madrid in the final stretch of their contract. Now, the Argentine star has begun attracting interest from Saudi Arabia Pro League side Al Ahli.

De Paul joined Atletico Madrid from Serie A side Udinese for around 30 million euros and established himself as one of the most outstanding players in Diego Simeone’s team.

The 29-year was one of the key contributors to Argentina’s success at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

According to Fabrizio Romano, as relayed by Fichajes.com, Al Ahli is weighing options and could make a last-minute move for Rodrigo de Paul. 

The Saudi club wants to accelerate their pursuit of their Argentine after failing to secure the signing of Piotr Zielinski.

However, a lot would depend on the side of Atletico Madrid, who has the final say. But Rojiblancos are unwilling to let their key player exit the club now.

Last season, Rodrigo de Paul made 38 appearances, scoring three goals and providing eight assists for the Rojiblancos.
