Akinkunmi Amoo expresses delight after Swedish Cup win with Hammarby
Akinkunmi Amoo could not hide his joy after winning his first-ever professional trophy with Swedish league side Hammarby.
The former Sidos FC man won the Swedish Cup title with his club.
The club lifted the Swedish Cup title for the first time in the club’s history after beating HÄCKEN through the penalty spot after normal regulation time ended in a stalemate.
Akinkunmi Amoo came on as a substitute in the 60th minute for Montenegro midfielder Vladimir Rodić.
Speaking after the game, the 18-year old Ibadan born winger took to social media to express his happiness.
“I am delighted to win the Swedish Cup with Hammarby and I am honoured to be part of this history. This is for our darling fans, for their amazing support.” said the winger on his official Twitter handle.
He also extended his appreciation to AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic who was directly involved during his transfer from Sidos FC.
“Excited to see the Boss @Ibra_official, he motivated the team.”
