It doesn’t have the power nor the undertone of elitism like the Champions League. It’s not as widespread as the Europa League. 


However, the Conference League offers financial benefits that will give it a special touch, especially for “smaller” clubs with low budgets that come from not so attractive leagues, even though the newly formed UEFA competition is greeted with suspicion as such.


According to the latest information, based on data from last season which was the first for this competition, the European House of Football has prepared awards in the same range as those from the previous cycles of the Europa League.

Participants in the Conference League phase will receive €400,000 for a win

It is logical to conclude that UEFA wants to use the money to draw attention to the new competition and to give it importance. 


Still, the prize for Europa League and Champions League participants are raised for the rich teams to be more motivated and focused on these competitions.


As for placement in the group, each of the 36 teams will receive €400,000 for a win and €133,000 for a draw.  The prize list is slightly lower than in the second most valuable UEFA competition.


Winning first place in the Conference League is lower compared to the UEFA Europa League and the difference is noticeable.

However, besides the money earned from UEFA, the participants and the winner also get money from tv-rights, sponsors, tickets sold, etc.
