Deportivo Alaves usually known as Alaves is one of the teams that have consistently competed in the Spanish La Liga. The club was founded in 1920 and is based in the autonomous Basque country.


Alaves may not be your average successful team in the Spanish La Liga, but they are considered to be one of the most successful teams in the Basque country.

Atletico is the second team on my list that is owned by an entity or a person. As of 2024, Atletico Madrid is officially owned by Atletico HoldCo (65.98%) Idan Ofer (33%) and Club members (1%)


Atletico HoldCo: It is an entity that is composed of a group of inventors who are referred to as shareholders of the club.

Idan Ofer: He is an Israeli businessman with interest in the energy sector, shipping and mining.

Club members: With an active membership program, club members have a 1% share of the club.


4. FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona needs no introduction as you know. The Catalan club is one of the most successful teams in the world. Barca was founded in 1899 and is based in Barcelona, Catalonian.


FC Barcelona has won a record number of trophies including the La Liga, Copa del Rey, Champions League, Club World Cup, etc.

5. RC Celta de Vigo

They may not be your average club, but Celta is very well known in Spanish soccer. I have watched the league and I can tell you that the team has been consistent in the top flight. 


Celta was founded in 1923 and is based in the Galicia region of Spain. The club has recorded some impressive results in the domestic scene and in Europe.

Espanyol was founded in 1900. They've won the Copa del Rey up to four times.

8. Girona CF
