Kelechi Iheanacho was signed from Manchester City for over £20M due to his potentials at Manchester City. The Nigerian had to leave the Cityzens as a result of the arrival of Gabriel Jesus.
Due to his promising future, Man City were forced to include a buy back clause of £50M which Leicester City also agreed to deal (Standard UK).
Upon his arrival, Iheanacho had to battle with a starting shirt with hit man Jamie Vardy, as a result there was a drop in his confidence level. The arrival of Brendan Rodgers didn’t solve any problems as the Northern Irish coach went to the market to buy Ayoze Perez as his first choice instead of Iheanacho.
However, his confidence level rose, Iheanacho started scoring goals whenever he came on as substitute, first in cup games and now in the Premier League
Iheanacho given the chance can proved to be a better attacker even as Jamie Vardy age is gradually becoming a concern. Vardy, one of most prolific attackers in the Premier League has continued to lead Leicester City from the muddy waters.
