Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be grinding his teeth over his team’s fitness ahead of the crucial two legged Carabao Cup clash with Manchester City today.

Solskjaer would miss his key man in defense Harry Maguire, so the Norwegian would be forced to bring on Phil Jones as his replacement. Jones hasn’t been convincing since the poor game he had against Sheffield United.

Manchester United need quick solutions if they are to stand the test against Manchester City. The red devils may find it difficult to scale through against the Cityzens over the two legs without a proper midfield.

In the middle, Nemanja Matic expects to start the game against Manchester City. There are fears United cannot perform counter attack, instead sit back and attack with loose balls.

But not taking anything from the Serbian, he gave a great pass to set up Marcus Rashford for a nice Counter attack against Colchester.

Solskjaer need a fair result to stand a better chance in the second leg.
