Arsenal manager and head coach, Mikel Arteta says he is getting a good feeling about the club following a 1-1 draw with AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on boxing day.
The commitment, drive and passion shown by Arsenal played got the Spaniard moved about the players form and desire to play for the club.
“I am getting a good feeling about thr club and the players” Arteta told reporters after the game against Bournemouth.
Arteta started Alexander Lacazette as the lone striker whilst playing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mesut Ozil at the flanks. Record signing Nicolas Pepe was on the bench.
Pepe has been inconsistent since making his record move to the London club. The player has failed to live up to expectations, hopefully Pepe could break into Arteta’s team.
Playing Alexander Lacazette up front didn’t help Arsenal in the attack, since the Frenchman was not perfect in finishing. Arsenal could have even won the game if the coach had started Aubameyang upfront since he’s more precise and a better finisher.
The new era at Arsenal began on boxing day at Vitality Stadium against AFC Bournemouth and hopefully, Arsenal would finish in a better position at the end of of the season, but not possibly a top four finish.
