He did very well when he came on, these were the words of United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in a pre-match conference ahead of Boxing day Premier League clash with Newcastle United at Old Trafford.

As per Manchester United official website , Pogba is expected to start the game against Newcastle United at Old Trafford on boxing day, as Solskjaer look to redeem his image after a disappointing loss to Premier League strugglers Watford last weekend.

Pogba came on as a second half substitute for Jesse Lingard but his introduction couldn’t stop United from a possible defeat.  Although Solskjaer’s original plan was to check the players’s fitness level ahead subsequent matches.

Pogba was absent for a long while, leaving Daniel James and Scott McTominay to handle United’s midfield.

Newcastle tie, a crucial game which Solskjaer need to win order to keep the team in contention for a good place finish at the end of the current campaign. United has been out of Champions League football, only settling for the Europa League.

Pogba’s return is one of the biggest injury boost in the Premier League at the moment, as it could help United move up further in the league.
