Great news for Bayern Munich fans as the club have announced a successful groin surgery on Robert Lewandowski after the match against Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena today.
Lewandowski sustained the injury during Bayern’s road trip to Freiburg in midweek and despite having such injury, the Polish striker played major part in the club’s 2-0 win over Wolfsburg.

Lewandowski remains Bayern Munich best player in 2019. The Polish emerged eight, in the just concluded European best footballer award ( Balon D’or) won by Lionel Messi of Barcelona.
The successful groin surgery marks another good start for Bayern Munich as they prepare for another challenge in the UEFA Champions League round of sixteen clash with English Premier League side Chelsea in February.
Bayern Munich are third on the Bundesliga table.
