The contract is expected to be for round three and a half year and Arsenal will pay a seven figure sum in compensation to city for Arteta’s service.
According to the mirror, Arsenal director Stan kroenke met with Arteta in the last 24 hours and signed off a deal that will see Arteta return to the club he left in 2916 after five years in North London.
However, Arteta could be on collision course with Guardiola over his plans to bring coach Rodolfo Borrell with him to the Emirates.
The Spaniard has worked along side Arteta under Guardiola for the last three years and city will do all they can to hold onto him.
