Bayern Munich midfielder and loanee, Phillipe Coutinho has been awarded Bundesliga man of the matchday after the Brazilian inspired Bayern Munich to a comeback win over SV Werder Bremen at the Allianz.

Showing some commanding performance, the Brazilian scored a hat trick with an assist to his name as Bayern Munich came from a goal down to beat Werder Bremen in a commanding style at the Allianz Arena.

Coutinho left English Premier League side, Liverpool, to Barcelona, but have since found it hard to hit the ground running at the Catalan club. In a bid to keep his career on track, Coutinho accepted to move to Germany as soon as the offer to join Bayern Munich came.

Coutinho has since found his form at Bayern, contributing immensely to the team’s success in the UEFA Champions League group stage as Bayern Munich boost of winning all six matches in the group.

The Goals

Rashica opened scoring just twenty-four minutes into the game to mount pressure on Hansi Flick and Bayern had to wait till the 45th minute before Coutinho levelled the game as Lewandowski increased Bayern’s lead in added time of the first half.

During the half time break, I think Hansi Flick had a father to child discussion with his players as the game turned to a goal-fest affair.

Coutinho and Lewandowski scored their second while Thomas Muller had his own fair share of the goal-fest at Allianz Arena as he netted Bayern’s fifth. But Coutinho had a surprise for everyone as he wrestled to complete his hat trick on the day.
