Long lost and forgotten Nigerian attacker Kelechi Iheanacho was finally remembered by Coach Brendan Rodgers who introduced the Nigerian to replace Ayoze Perez I the second as Leicester City were trailing 1-0 courtesy of Richarlison’s first half goal.
The foxes coach would thank himself well enough for bringing Iheanacho to the picture after a long while and neglect of the player who was a promising youngster at Manchester City before his transfer to Leicestershire.
Iheanacho made an impact just six minutes after his introduction in to game by setting up Jamie Vardy who scored Leicester City’s equalizer. He became a contributor up until the 94th minute to register Leicester City’s winning goal.
Leicester jump to second on the Premier League table with 32 points from 14 matches and are three points ahead of third place Manchester City.
Leicester City will tackle Watford in a midweek Premier League meeting at the King Power Stadium.
