Based on recent report by The Independent, Jadon Sancho is set to leave Borussia Dortmund as the club has indicated interest on a possible transfer for the young English man and are willing to listen to offers from outside for the player.
Before moving to Germany, Sancho was at Manchester City but could not align with the club’s desire at that time and had to move elsewhere for regular first team football since he is not guaranteed first team football at the Etihad.
Question is, should Manchester City bring back Jason Sancho to the Etihad? Independent also stated that Manchester City also made a statement about a possible transfer for the player.
Maybe yes, but in the first place if he was needed at the club, why was he sold to Dortmund? Well it was very clear that Manchester City have a lot of players some of which were bought outside for the big money.
It was only few players drafted from the Academy to the main team. Players like Phil Foden have since gone on to cement his status as a first team player.
Jason Sancho fell out of Manchester City and now Borussia, although at Borussia Dortmund, his form is trying to get him away to a much more bigger club.
As Leroy Sane’s link to FC Bayern Munich deepens, Sancho could be forcing a move back to Manchester. United look like his next destination but since City have indicated interest on the player, he could make a move back to his former team since he’s been impressive in Germany lately.
Fallen out of favour at Manchester City didn’t just cut the eye, however Sancho saw an offer that could earn him regular playing time than City, so he had to move elsewhere and Dortmund is the perfect place for him to go to.
Sancho is a talented player and he needs regular playing time to help develop his football career.
Arguably, Jadon Sancho is a young player with potentials and a lot of skillset circulating around. Pep Guardiola knew the reason why he granted the sale of the player.
Again, why should Manchester go for him when there is a David Neres at Ajax Amsterdam. Great winger that can feel in the gap if Sane leaves City for Bayern Munich.
If Neres is not an option, then City should also go for Quincy Promes, a great player flourishing at Sevilla before making the move to Ajax, one of the best attacking side in Europe.
One thing that City board need to put at the back of their minds is, United will do anything possible within their powers to sign Jason Sancho from Dortmund.
