Nigeria face Zambia in Olympic qualifiers today

The national U-23 side nicknamed The Dream will today square up with Zambia in their quest for Olympic Qualification in the ongoing qualifiers in Egypt against Zambia after losing to Ivory Coast in their first match played on Saturday.


The Dream Team for the records became the first African team to win an Olympic gold far back in 1996 during the Atlanta games.

The Nigerian team now with a complete Squad after missing out on some key players on club duty.


Nigeria has achieved great during the Olympic games winning Gold, Silver, and Bronze.


With much expected from the boys, the team and their handlers are charged with the responsibility of at least picking up a ticket to the games in Tokyo in 2020.


Nigeria has some work to do if they’re to pick up one of the tickets to the games.

Losing this game will throw Nigeria out of the Olympic Qualification spot.
