The Manchester United executive member gave this after recent speculation on the transfer policy of the club became subject of dicourse.

Despite the board needing the best legs at the club, it is still within the powers of the coach to pick from players he like.

The words from ED Woodward has given the indication that Manchester United is as well preparing for some mega signings during the January transfer window.

It could be recalled that Manchester United made three signings in the previous transfer window with Daniel James arriving from Swansea City, Harry Maguire from Leicester City and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.

Manchester United have fallen short of expectations as fans turned their attention to the players and the coach which most fans think should leave the club as a heavy transfer rumour linking Italian coach Allegri with club.

Manchester United have been able to let go of some of its older players, thus giving more opportunities to young academy graduates to excel, although it is working as planned, but the team currently face poor form.

Since taking over from Jose Mourinho, Solskjaer managed to things things around with the introduction of youth players instead relying on older players at the club.

The recent was the release of Alexis Sanchez and Chris Smalling on loan to Serie A side.
