David De Gea Officially sidelined for Liverpool clash

Old Trafford - Soccerway.com

Manchester United number one Goal Keeper, David De Gea has been officially sidelined for the game against Liverpool in the Super Sunday clash between the two most successful clubs in England.

David De Gea picked up an injury while in goal for Spain during a European Championship Qualifier game last week and Solskjaer is not expecting him to play.

De Gea has proven to be Manchester United’s saviour at the back as most of his saves turned out to be vital for the club despite placing 12th on the League Table.

The Spaniard had a muscle problem, altough the Norwegian manager said the injury he sustained is not too serious.

Well I don’t expect him to play, but it wasn’t as bad as feared

Solskjaer

As per Manchester united Official website

According to the manager, he thought the injury was too serious judging from the way he was taken off during the game.

When I saw the game, I thought that’s him out until the next international break, because we’ve had some long-term muscle injuries, but it’s not as bad as feared.

Manchester United will also miss the services of Paul Pobga while Aaron Wan-Bissaka will return to the matchday squad to face Liverpool on sunday.
