The Austrian A League commenced today with Adelaide United hosting Sydney FC which was eventually won by the away side Sydney FC.

With the popular saying that goes thus “New Year, New Life”. Such a word now reflects on the Australian A-League because the league’s governing body have enacted a new rule allowing up to 7 players on the substitute bench including Under 23 players in a single matchday.

The league’s governing body also introduced the Vedio Assistant Referee fully into the Australian top division as being applied in major European Football League’s like the Premier League, La Liga etc.

In a press release, the Football Federation Australia confirmed that the new rule will take effect from this season.

The FFA head, Greg O’Rourke while speaking on the new development said the new rule was intriduced as it will help young footballers in the A-League.

The Australian football Governming body is doing everything within its powers to make the A-League standout in the world.

The Australian A-League is incorporated by a team from New Zealand in Wellington Phoenix.

Sydney FC got the first victory of the season after beating Adelaide United (2-3) on friday.
