Nigeria’s promising attacker Kelechi Iheanacho have not featured for Leicester City for long time except during the pre season when he scored some goals for the club after he was dropped by Nigerian Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr for the 2019 African Cup Of Nations held in Egypt eventually won by North African side Algeria.
The Nigerian was optimistic about his chances at Leicester City after his performance was acknowledged by Brendan Rodgers.
His fellow country man Wilfred is a core part of the Leicester City and have kept it since he joined the club under Craig Shakespear from Belgium First Division A side KAA Gent.
Why Kelechi Iheanacho have lost a starting role at Leicester City
We do not have clear idea as to what caused the player to be part of the team from the training ground only, but Kelechi Iheanacho’s form infront of goal under Claudio Ranieri was poor and as at when Rodgers took over, he couldn’t meet up with the manager’s demands as there are variety of players that perform well than him.
Another major problem was Gernot Rohr leaving the player out of the squad for the 2019 African Cup of Nations held in Egypt.
Kelechi Iheanacho can still return to first team football if he can improve on himself and boost his confidence level.
